Unified communication tools offer different collaboration benefits

Recently, Nemertes Research released a study of which the tools companies utilize and value the most for collaboration, and their plans to integrate mobility into UC systems.

According to Unified Communications Strategies, the research shows that over 99 percent of businesses use email more than any other option for work collaboration. In-person meetings, audio and web conferencing followed email with over 60 percent usability each. In addition, less than 20 percent of all businesses have no plan to implement mobile support with their UC plans - an option that can increase flexibility and employee benefits like teleworking as well.


One way to gain many benefits of UC while remaining budget-conscious is to deploy cloud VoIP and text communication options. The cloud offers a variety of improvements for a business exploring UC options, such as increased access, less security and support responsibility and faster deployment.
